A work of street art in the Banksy style was recently seen near a beauty salon in Nottingham, England.

Although the elusive artist has not confirmed the authenticity of the work in his Instagram account or other means, the visual elements of this recently stenciled work are very similar to those in the various pieces of the artist. The graffiti depicts a girl spinning in a tire next to a real, damaged bike tied to a lamppost with a missing rear wheel. On Thursday, the city council of Nottingham was supposed to put a temporary coating on it, but the work was already spoilt with white paint.

The salon owner, Alex Mitchell, claimed to have seen a work of art made on Tuesday when a van “with darkened windows” arrived at his window, according to the BBC. “I only saw the driver. I didn’t know what was going on and I should call the police. He pretended to have broken down but stayed there for at least two hours. “At some point, an unknown man came into Mitchell’s showroom and bought two drinks. “I asked him ‘who is the artist’, and he just winked at me,” he said.

Nottingham currently has the highest coronavirus infection rate in the UK. “Nottingham now needs something like this – something to talk about, not the coronavirus,” said Josiah Powell, a neighborhood resident, to the BBC. “If it was Banksy, it would be great – I would tell him,” Thank you, kids.
